Both I and the writer of Guardian Angel Academy have our own habits and grooves when it comes to crowdfunding. Even with that, we're lining the cross-promotions up pretty well! Hopefully none of the returning backers for one of us will get tripped up by the other.

Here's our latest bit of synergy:

New mini-prints for GAA have already been ordered -- multiple designs, a few of each. Each cross-collab backer will get one of them (author's choice). See some previews and vote for your favorite here.

New mini-prints for L&T have not been ordered -- and I'm only getting one design, buying in bulk. All cross-collab backers are getting whichever version wins this poll.

I'm still doing the usual campaign-exclusive mini-print for everyone. And the poll for that is still on the main Leif & Thorn site.

But come vote in some BackerKit polls too! We've gotta keep our Engagement Points up, after all.

Over 60% funded before the end of day 2! This has to be some kind of personal record. (...The unusual launch time throws a wrench in any direct comparisons, but it feels like a record.)

Welcome, everybody, to this year's quest to get Leif & Thorn Volume 8 in print!

We're 33% funded in the first 8 hours. Awesome. (I was at the Day Job when the launch itself happened...let's just say I kept surreptitiously checking my phone throughout the afternoon.)

New things to know this year:

1) Printopia 2025 has free bonuses we can get with Engagement Points. Leif & Thorn is in Team Duskmelt, which has 10 total projects, so our first goal is "10,000 Engagement Points this week."

Backers earn points by doing everything in the Community tab. Leave a comment on this post, get 25 points. Like everyone else's comments, get 5 points each. You get the picture.

2) We're doing an extra Cross-Collab with another project. Check out Guardian Angel Academy, a fantasy-romance novel saga about the one demon girl who got into angel school. It's a complete 4-book series, so now they're funding an extra-fancy omnibus.

If you back any of the physical-reward tiers, in both Leif & Thorn and Guardian Angel Academy, both of us will send you an extra mini-print with your book. Keep an eye out for the design reveals in a future post.

3) Still a few sketches left in the Early Bird Art Special. These are digital sketches of Leif & Thorn characters, drawn for the first 15 backers who pledge $50 or more...and last I checked, 5/15 were still up for grabs.

A couple more backers have joined since I started writing this post, so I better wrap it up quick, before my fun progress-bar graphic is hopelessly out-of-date.
